There are thousands of relatives of dendroboims available due to large scale hybridisation.

Distinguish orchid roots:

The terestrial orchid roots have a thick coat of hair. This is commonly seen in paphiopedilum species.

Orchids mostly have non-hairy thick silvery epiphytic orchid roots which float in the air to absorb water.
